Over the past few months we have been busy upgrading our system for ISOM Online. The system was designed and implemented 5+ years ago, and contains outdated information, and courses, as some of you may have noticed.
There are so many major changes that I would like to put them in a list so that you can glance through them quickly. Please read carefully as there are major changes listed here:
1.
ISOM Online site moved from www.isomonline.org to www.isom.org/online.
2.
The username and password system changed
from generic for ALL users, to user-specific.
a. Practically this means that you do not have to wait for a username and password from me, but rather you create your own login on www.isom.org, and I enable/authorize that login to access the video materials.
3.
Video content has been updated with new
courses.
a. Trimester 1 added A5: Fear of the Lord by John Bevere
b. Trimester 2 added B6: Living by Faith by
c. Trimester 3 added C9: Promise Keepers by Ed Cole
d. Trimester 4 removed D7: Missions & the Harvest, and added D8: Authority & Forgiveness by John Bevere and D9: Breaking Generational Curses by Marilyn Hickey.
e. Trimester 5 had no changes.
f. Women of the World (WOW) will soon be available for Online study!
4. Video is now in the ISOM Express format. This is a pure English format that was created for Western audiences. The translation language (Spanish on the current site) and it’s corresponding gap/pause were removed, and the sessions flow as if English was only spoken during the recording.
a. Practically this means that session times are down from 50+ minutes to under 30 minutes.
5. The videos are higher quality, and presented within the web browser window, so no extra programs (like Real Media Player, etc.) are required. Additional browser requirements are necessary because of this, so see the “System Requirements” section below, or on www.isom.org/online.
6. Homework is now submitted to homework@isom.org.
7. Online questions and administration is now handled through online@isom.org.
8. Prices have changed. It is now $125 for Online Only Students, and $10 for local (review only) access students.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Please make sure your system meets the minimum system
requirements for the new ISOM Express online. Briefly, they are:
1.
Broadband (256+ kbps) Internet Access. Dial-Up internet is not supported.
2. Mozilla
Firefox 2.0 or later, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later for Windows. Apple
Safari 2.0 or later for Mac OS X systems.
3. Adobe Flash Player 9 is required, so your system must meet
the Adobe Flash 9 requirements. To download and install Flash Player 9 , then click on the
“Download Now” button. This will take you to another web page which will detect
your settings and give you installation instructions.
4. Computer speakers, either internal or external, so that
the teachings can be heard.
